🌱 The knowledge and skills of Nurturing Care of the caregivers.
👨👩👧👦 Nurturing Care with love, care, and proper knowledge is a crucial foundation for a child’s future.
Over the past 4 months, community volunteers trained under the “Smart Start” program by specialists from the Department of Early Childhood of the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport and the Department of Municipal, District, Commune, and Sangkat Administration of the Ministry of Interior, with support from FH Cambodia, have formed 45 caregivers’ groups totalling 816 members across three communes: Chong Kal, Cheung Tien, and Krasang.
Through group outreach and learning meetings, caregivers of children aged 0 to 5 years have gained key knowledge and skills in parenting, such as:
Timely response to the needs of children
Positive giving of love and encouragement
Provision of age-appropriate nutrition
maintaining the health, hygiene, and safety of children
Play, talk, and learning with children to stimulate brain development and learning ability.
The involvement of caregivers not only helps children grow healthy but also strengthens family relationships, creates a warm and safe environment, and supports children’s holistic development.
Thank you to early childhood caregivers, community volunteers, local authorities, and FH Cambodia for their active contribution to promoting early childhood development in the community.
Together for the welfare of children and the best start for their future.
