With support from the project, 50 farmers, including 27 women, from three BA1-AP target communes have strengthened their capacity to adopt climate-smart agriculture through hands-on training on soil fertility improvement and sustainable land management practices. The training covered practical techniques including cover cropping, organic mulching, integrated legume planting, green manuring, and dry and liquid composting.
Equipped with new knowledge, practical skills, and agricultural tools, the farmers are now applying these techniques in their own fields and home gardens. These practices are helping to improve soil health, strengthen resilience to climate-related challenges, and enhance farm productivity.
By investing in farmer knowledge, skills, and locally led innovation, the project is supporting farmers to build more resilient livelihoods, healthier ecosystems, and more sustainable rural communities.
