FH Cambodia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Early Childhood Development Department of MoEYS, conducted a 5-day Smart Start Facilitator Training in Chong Kal district, Oddar Meanchey Province.
The training brought together Community Volunteers (CVs), Commune Committee for Women and Children (CCWC) members, commune chiefs, deputy district officials, and District Office of Education (DoE) representatives to strengthen their knowledge and facilitation skills on nurturing care, responsive caregiving, early childhood development, play-based learning, and family support for children aged 0-5.
Through practical sessions, group work, and hands-on activities, participants learned how to facilitate the five Smart Start sessions with caregiver groups in their communities. This will help caregivers better support children’s health, nutrition, safety, early learning, and positive development at home.
