FH Cambodia was pleased to organize two technical discussions with government partners focused on advancing Productive Learning in Cambodia.
A Consultative Meeting was held with the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and the Early Childhood Development (ECD) Department of MoEYS to explore alignment of the Smart Start program with existing government systems. Both MoI and ECD expressed strong support for adapting the program in line with Parenting Education and the Nurturing Care Framework. In addition, FH Cambodia convened an Adaptation Meeting with the Primary Education Department (PED) of MoEYS to align the Let’s Learn to Read (LLR) program with the national Early Grade Reading Package.
The discussion affirmed that LLR can complement national approaches by strengthening teaching and learning materials, enhancing early grade teacher capacity, and supporting mentoring and assessment to improve student learning outcomes.
These engagements helped ensure alignment with government systems. FH Cambodia appreciates the continued collaboration in supporting quality learning for children and families.
