🎉 Congratulations to the 8 outstanding Community Savings Groups (CSGs) officially recognized by the Provincial Department of Rural Development (PDRD)!
✅ 4 savings groups from TPR3
✅ 4 savings groups from TPR1
These 8 savings groups demonstrate how communities can leverage their own potential to build strong, self‑managed structures that drive sustainable community development. Formed through the TPRs Area Program, these groups are living examples of collective leadership, discipline, and shared responsibility.
💪 Our journey together
The TPRs Area Program has worked closely with these savings groups through:
• Capacity‑building training for group leaders and members
• Monthly monitoring and coaching by community volunteers
• Quarterly evaluations and annual reflection sessions
Recognizing their strong progress, the TPRs Area Program collaborated with the Provincial Department of Rural Development, inviting technical experts to provide additional training on legal requirements and registration procedures. Together with community members, all required documentation was prepared, inspected, and assessed directly in the communities.
✅ Following the assessment, PDRD confirmed that these savings groups met all required conditions and officially issued certificates of support, strengthening their legal standing, growth, and long‑term sustainability.
💬 Powerful voice from the community – Mrs. Sam Kunthea (Savings Group Representative):
“Our group is not just a place to save money, but a family where we help each other, support each other, and grow together. As the representative of my saving group, I promise to lead with integrity and honesty. I will set a good example in practicing discipline, saving money, and participating in all group activities. I believe that leadership is not just about giving orders, but about serving and listening to all members.”
🌱 This recognition marks not an end, but a new beginning—empowering communities to move forward with confidence, unity, and sustainability.
