Mr. Oeun Rin, a 66-year-old farmer with a leg amputation, faces challenges caring for his grandchildren due to their parents’ migration for work. Financial disputes and labor-intensive jobs strain his family’s living conditions, exacerbated by limited agricultural knowledge. His alcohol use and violent behavior towards his wife further strain the situation in the past.
However, participating in FH’s program results in a positive transformation. In 2022, his family actively participated in the Food Security and Livelihood project, provided agricultural support, savings for a new business start-up capital, and agricultural-related training techniques.
This leads to significant improvements in his family’s livelihood, mindset, and behavior, particularly in his family’s well-being and his grandchildren’s education.
FH’s tailored assistance has greatly enhanced their quality of life, offering hope for a brighter future despite their previous struggles.
