Mrs. Ban Kea, a 60-year-old church member living in Tropeang Tum village, has been actively engaged in the FH program since 2015. She has participated in various projects such as the MCCT Project, saving group, and agriculture sector. By attending lessons led by FH staff, Mrs. Ban Kea has successfully implemented the knowledge gained in her chicken rearing and vegetable cultivation practices.
She highlighted that, “Raising chickens has not only provided my family with enough meat but also enabled me to sell some to financially support my grandson’s educational needs.”
The effectiveness of her chicken rearing endeavors can be attributed to her adherence to proper feeding, pest control, and hygiene protocols. Looking ahead, Mrs. Ban Kea intends to expand her agricultural activities once there is sufficient water availability to meet her family’s future needs and distribute some to her neighbors in need.
