FH Cambodia assisted in training on how to teach children and properly addressed the significance of children’s education.

My family changed as a result of my participation in all community events with government and partner groups, as I had more food to eat, we became healthier and happier, and I was able to make more money and spend more time with my children in their studies. There is a school nearby, so all of the children have access to school and study resources. Moreover, there is a conducive environment for study at home. They exhibited positive behavior, as seen by their polite treatment of the elderly.

In the past, I did not participate in such a community development activity. Not only I, but also my other villagers, failed to recognize the significance of our children’s education. Because we were concentrating on the tasks required to sustain our daily life on the field. While the level of the governor in my village was low, it was the same as mine. I had a restricted education, thus I rarely regarded my children’s education. After FH Cambodia began working in my community, I frequently participated in meetings with the village chief and in promoting and training, thereby boosting community awareness of the development plant and participation in activities. In addition, they acknowledged the significance of education. All children were sent to school and given the opportunity to participate in a children’s club conducted by FH Cambodia employees. My daughter is one of the teenagers that volunteer to educate. This contribution provides her with increased knowledge and courage. She cultivates positive relationships with youngsters and elders and shares her opinions with confidence.

I am grateful to FH Cambodia for providing me and other villages with such knowledge.

My hopes for the future include my children graduating from school and obtaining a solid job so they can support the family. I wish they had sufficient food and a decent place to live. They could, with any luck, be a catalyst for change in the community being constructed. I would love for all children and teenagers to have access to school and acquire information in order to assist the community, and for young children in particular to obtain a high education.
