Mrs. Chhay Sarin, a 38-year-old resident of Toul Char Village, shared her experience:
Before I became involved with the FH program, my family faced significant challenges. Our agricultural and livestock endeavors were limited, and we struggled to secure a reliable source of income for our daily needs.
Financial constraints hindered my children’s education, as we lacked sufficient study materials. I became connected with FH Cambodia through a program aimed at assisting vulnerable families in agricultural development. I engaged in training sessions that covered planting techniques, crop protection, and composting practices.
By implementing the knowledge I acquired and utilizing the agricultural resources assisted by FH Cambodia, I have effectively minimized labor and costs, enhanced farm management, and boosted productivity. Our family farm now supplies us with daily meals and generates an income of 30,000 to 40,000 Riels (approximately $7.50 to $10) each day, which supports my children’s education, all made possible through farming activities conducted near our home.
