FH is committed to promoting essential life skills among students in grades 4-6 through a range of interactive activities, such as savings initiatives and vegetable gardening, thereby providing students with fundamental horticultural skills.
The vegetables cultivated by the students contribute to the school’s breakfast feeding program, ensuring that children have access to nutritious meals at school, while also allowing students to bring home surplus vegetables. In addition, any leftover vegetables are later sold to nearby communities, resulting in savings practice for students at school.
By integrating gardening education with financial literacy, this program enhances children’s well-being while equipping them with essential life skills. This approach empowers students to take an active role in their own nutritional and economic development while also cultivating a sense of responsibility and sustainability.
