Educational institutions have a crucial role to play in teaching students about crop cultivation using natural fertilizers and the importance of caring for plants to achieve successful outcomes. By providing practical learning opportunities, the program helps students acquire valuable agricultural skills that contribute to improving agricultural efficiency and quality in the future.
The Trapeang Prasat 3 Program Area encompasses 11 primary schools, 2 secondary schools, and 1 high school. As part of our process, we hold meetings with the principals, teachers, and school committees to discuss the project. The teachers and school committees, who are responsible for guiding and supervising the students’ practical work, collaborate with us to select the garden locations.
Trapeang Prasat 3 staff educate teachers and students on fish and frog cultivation, imparting technical knowledge and skills for home and school use. Furthermore, we encourage teachers and students to share their successful practices with the wider community. Once they have gained knowledge and techniques, the Trapeang Prasat 3 area provides them with agricultural equipment, seeds, fish, and frogs. Afterward, we have a meeting with the principal, teachers, and school committee to assess their progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide support and encouragement.
